  1. The OS/2 Corrective Service Facility is a utility that applies fixes
  2. (service) to the OS/2 Applications.
  3.  
  4. Corrective Service is applied as follows:

  6. Insert CSD diskette one (this diskette) in the A: drive and type
  7. A:\SERVICE from an OS/2 command prompt.  The main window contains a list
  8. of products that are found on the system which are eligible for service.
  9. Select those products you want to be serviced by highlighting the
  10. appropriate entries in the Products list.  All eligible products are
  11. initially selected.

  13. To view the currect level(s) of the products on your system, select
  14. CURRENT from the LEVELS menu.  To view the new level(s) of the products
  15. on the corrective service diskettes, select NEW from the LEVELS menu.

  17. The service utility updates files in a set of directories associated
  18. with each selected product.  To view and/or change the set of
  19. directories, choose SELECT DIRECTORIES from the OPTIONS menu.

  21. Once all selections have been made, select SERVICE to start the service
  22. process.

  24. You WILL NOT be able to terminate the service process after it is
  25. started.

  27. A service log is provided for installation verification:
  28.            C:\OS2\INSTALL\SERVICE.LOG
  29. Subsequent installs will be appended to the service log.
